  1. A 40-year-old man has been arrested after he stabbed another man during a Labor Day argument over a seat on a Crown Heights bench. Police officers monitoring a nearby West Indian Day parade quickly came to the aid of the 34-year-old victim and arrested suspect Jason Morris without incident. Morris has been charged with assault, and his arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court is pending as of Tuesday. (New York Daily News)
  2. Brooklyn soup kitchens are providing relief to asylum seekers from Texas. So do countries like Guatemala, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Ecuador. The Masbia Soup Kitchen Network has seen an influx of hundreds of asylum seekers over the past few months. Following a move by Texas Governor Greg Abbott intended to criticize the country’s immigration policy. It says it will provide immigrants with essential items such as (News 12 Long Island)
  3. Michelin has added 30 restaurants across New York City to its latest guide, including some in the Brooklyn neighborhood. Clover Hill in Brooklyn Heights, Aldama and Ensenada in Williamsburg, and Place de Fete in Clinton Hill are just a few of the local eateries selected. Each of the new additions will also be eligible for the organization’s annual award, which will be announced at a ceremony at Hudson Yards on Oct. 6. (Eater NY)
