5 things to do this week: car shows, food festivals and more

fundraiser

The Lutheran Church of the Savior at 320 W. College St. hosts a fall bazaar and salad lunch on Fridays from 11am to 1pm. For $8, enjoy a sloppy joe lunch, vegetable beef soup, dessert, and coffee. There is also a quilt raffle. All proceeds are used to support the church’s missionary work.

car show

The Harvest Fest Cruise-In begins at 8:00 am on Saturday at Produce State Bank, Orlandale (109 West West Park Avenue). Cars, trucks, bikes and ATVs old and new are welcome. Not just music, but vendors and food trucks as well.The event is scheduled until 19:00

Youth baseball fundraiser

Wedgewood Cove at 220 W. Ninth St. will host the first Albert Lea Youth Baseball Golf Event this Saturday. Registration opens at 11am and shotguns start at noon. In addition to golf, dinners and silent auctions are also held. Meals are free for Albert Lee Youth Baseball players. This event raises funds for youth baseball.

food festival

The Albert Lee Main Street Program and the Albert Lee Convention and Visitors Bureau at 112 Broadway will host a Taste of Albert Lee Saturdays in Central Park from 11 am to 7 pm. We’ve enjoyed our favorite food vendors all summer long, and now they’re all together.

Czech Fest

Czech Fest starts at 12:00pm at Lodge 44, Bohemian Brick Hall, 17509 850 Avenue, Grenville. Enjoy dining, raffles, silent auctions, bake sales and music in the dance floor tent.
