A free festival celebrating entertainment, games and sports


A new public event will be held in New York City this fall. Called PaleyWKND (“Paley Weekend”), the festival promises to be “the ultimate media, sports, gaming and entertainment extravaganza.”

PaleyWKND takes place at the Paley Center for Media in Midtown Manhattan. Organizers say the festival will take place at the Paley Museum of Art and the entire block on his 52nd Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.

Visitors can preview Meta’s so-called Metaverse, experience several interactive exhibits, check out the Video Game Lounge, and watch the NHL’s Stanley Cup, MLB’s Commissioner’s Trophy, NBA’s Larry O’Brien Trophy, and the NFL’s Vince’s Trophy. “This is a fantastic event for all New Yorkers and visitors to enjoy, further cementing New York as the world’s greatest city when it comes to culture and cultural opportunities,” Mayor Eric Adams said in a statement. “PaleyWKND will also help strengthen the economic recovery after two years of the pandemic.”

The Paley Center worked with dozens of organizations and companies, including FOX, to participate in the festival.

PaleyWKND kicks off with an Opening Night Celebration on Friday, September 30th. The main event will be his Saturday 1st October and his Sunday 2nd October. The festival is free, but booking tickets is recommended. Paley Center members get VIP access.
