ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) — The Finger Lakes Goodwill will host two community-based sustainability events on August 17th and 18th.
Events set up to showcase the impact sustainability and savings have on the Rochester community include: (RMSC) August 18 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Held in conjunction with National Thrift Shop Day, the Thrift Crawl will take participants from Goodwill’s location at 451 South Avenue to various Goodwill stores throughout the Rochester area. Each store will offer refreshments, styling tips from local ‘thrifters’ and a 15% storewide discount. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets are available here.
At the RMSC event called We Are Goodwill Summer Social: Sustainability Under the Stars, attendees can find music, an open bar, hors d’oeuvres and a sustainable fashion show at the Strasenburgh Planetarium. You can buy tickets here.
