Alabama News Network and Tie and Doll, Inc. thank everyone who donated food to help needy students at Montgomery Public Schools.
Thanks to your support, our 8th annual Stuff the Truck food drive was also a huge success.

Again, we spent most of Saturday outside Winn Dixie in Sturbridge collecting food and cash donations. This is because Montgomery Public Schools students may not get enough to eat.

The collected food is placed in book bags and distributed to students who have difficulty living at home and can only eat school lunches. Collected food includes ready-to-eat items such as canned pasta, applesauce, and fruit cups.
We would also like to thank the SHE Agency and U-Haul for their support.
This year’s collection is still being compiled. But last year we raised $2,400 cash for her and 85 boxes of food for him (about £4,850). In 2020, we raised 74 boxes of food (£4,500) and $1,100 in cash donations.
This event grows every year. Organizers say we’ll need a bigger truck next year, or maybe two, for all the food you donate.
Thank you to everyone at the Alabama News Network for your cooperation.
