Lansing, Michigan — A quick look at the arts, culture, and entertainment events happening in Central Michigan this week.

The next Astronomy on Tap takes place on Wednesday, August 17th at 7:30pm at the Michigan Wildlife Refuge in Bath.

On Thursday, August 18th, The Wharton Center will welcome “Tuesdays with Morrie.”

The powerful true story of journalist Mitch Albom and former university professor Molly Schwartz.

The play is based on the book of the same name.

The play focuses on two men who reunite as Molly faces his own death as an ALS patient.

What started as a simple visit becomes a weekly pilgrimage, a beautiful lesson in humanity, compassion and friendship.

Also on Thursday at the Wharton Center, one of the most popular and recorded singers of the last 30 years, Vince Gill, will join Wendy Morten.

Moten was a finalist for “The Voice”.

Lansing’s River Walk Theater presents “Big Fish,” based on the novel by Daniel Wallace.

“Big Fish” tells the story of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to the fullest.

Edward’s incredibly epic story excites everyone around him!

However, his son Will is about to have a child of his own and is determined to find out the truth behind his father’s epic story.
