This weekend, the Outside Lands Festival crowd flocked to San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park for headliners like SZA, Kali Uchis and Green Day. Seeing lots of bands was the main purpose for most people, but walking around the park watching lots of bananas is fun too.
Style is an important factor in modern music festivals. Most older patrons wear their sturdiest and most comfortable sneakers, but for many young attendees choosing an outfit can be as daunting as choosing between SZA and Phoebe Bridgers.
Many who attended Outside Lands 2021 over Halloween weekend may feel a little nostalgic about the relative lack of costumes, but people-watching was as good as it was in San Francisco, and between stages It wasn’t much to travel the distance of . It is a chore and an activity in itself.
As a trend, there were far fewer cows roaming the grounds this year, and paisley was a prominent trend. I wasn’t afraid to wear minimal clothes (which could have been quite uncomfortable as the temperature dropped dramatically after dark).
