Centlar Appoints 4 People to Default Management Team


Mortgage subservicer Cenlar FSB has announced the appointment of four senior leaders to its default management team. Adam Wood, Vice President and Late Default Officer. Jason Schmidt, VP and Head of Billing. Jessica Sharp, Vice President and Foreclosure Officer.

Adam Saab

Saab has over 20 years of experience in both servicing and sub-services for servicers and large banks. He will oversee all early stages of Cenlar’s default process, including Single Point of Contact (SPOC) and loss mitigation. Prior to joining Cenlar, he worked for CitiMortgage for 14 years, most recently as Senior Vice President of Default Operations. Previously, he was EVP of Mortgage and Consumer Operations at PNC Bank, and at LoanCare, where he was EVP and he was COO, where he implemented an enhanced compliance management system.

Adam Wood

Wood brings over 25 years of mortgage industry and service experience to his new role at Cenlar. He is responsible for all late stages of default including bankruptcy, REO/property preservation, claims, loss analysis and foreclosure. Prior to joining Cenlar, Wood held several positions at Mr. Cooper, most recently as Senior Vice President of Default Operations, responsible for overseeing the multiple default business phases of Delinquency. . He was also responsible for the complete rebuilding of Mr. Cooper’s Foreclosure and Bankruptcy divisions. He also had multiple leadership roles on Fannie Mae.

Jason Schmidt

Schmidt comes to Cenlar with 15 years of mortgage servicing experience. Prior to joining Cenlar, he served as Vice President of Billing at Mr. Cooper for seven years where he managed multiple functions throughout the billing and cash management process and also oversaw government billing. Schmidt brings expertise in the areas of bankruptcy, government and mortgage claims, business analysis, default manipulation, portfolio management, loss analysis and foreclosure. Jason previously held leadership roles at Ocwen Financial and Brice, Vander Linden & Wernick/NBS.

Jessica Sharp

Sharp brings over 14 years of experience to Cenlar, especially in foreclosure work. She most recently served as Vice President of Defaults for PennyMac Corporation. Prior to her role at PennyMac, she was with Nationstar Mortgage, where she was Assistant VP of the Foreclosure Division. During her tenure, she managed multiple functions including bankruptcy, GSE foreclosure process, business analytics, default operations, investor reporting and loss analysis.
