
The deceased villager’s home being foreclosed was subject to a deed compliance hearing on Friday before the Community Development District 3 Oversight Board at Savannah Center.
The 1741 Oak Forest Drive home is owned by the Robert Kimbrough Trust.
In 2020, Kimbrough celebrated his 99th birthday after moving into an assisted living center in The Villages. he died afterwards. In 2011, his wife of 65 years died.
In 2013, Kimbrough embarked on the Villages Honor Flight to Washington, DC, and his group had the chance to meet Bob and Elizabeth Doll during a tour of Washington, DC’s War Memorial. Kimbrough, who had a long career as a dentist, MLK Memorial Awards Committee at The Villages.
At a hearing on Friday, community standards indicated the home was in the process of foreclosure and public facilities were closed.

Community Standards received a complaint on June 9th regarding “brown dead grass”. Community Standards contacted the mortgage company’s property preservation department, but was told it was out of stock due to maintenance.
The board has given 30 days for the property to be returbed and brought back into compliance. If not, a series of fines will be imposed.
