“Everybody had to find the ‘voice’ for their character,” he explains. “Beth came out of indie rock and punk and now she sings ‘How Do I Live.’ So it was helpful, but coming from England she had to find a whole new voice for this style of music. Singing in different styles, with different accents, taking notes from the producer on how to sing and where to sing – I can only think of so many things at once. Unbelievable.”

“I loved the TV show. Nashville I really owe it to music when it was around,” she says. “So when I heard about this show, I was like yes, yes, yes!”
She says the song “The Card You Gambling,” written by Liz Rose, Hilary Lindsey, and Lori McKenna, sets the perfect tone for the show.
“There’s such a dusty, old-school vibe. There’s also a darkness that really embodies the energy of the show. I think it’s the perfect song to open up a soap opera like this.”
Anders says he wants monarch It helps introduce younger generations to songs they haven’t heard before.
“I hope Glee do what they did. It’s a whole different style, a whole different thing, but like Glee has done, introducing a whole new audience to a lot of great songs.” I hope.”
