Golf Day Fore VNA Helps Home Health and Hospice Care

Vermont Business Magazine The Southwest Regional VNA & Hospice raised over $16,500 at the recent Golf Day Fore VNA at the Mount Anthony Country Club in Bennington. Funds support the Agency’s home care and hospice programs. Last year, home health and hospice agencies served more than 3,900 individual patients and made 116,571 home visits in Bennington and Rutland counties.

The event was sponsored by Berkshire Bank and supported by many local businesses. Coggins Auto won the scramble format tournament with Aidan Charbonneau, Patrick Coggins, Seth Harrington and Scott O’Connell on their team. The second-place team, Old Men Golfing, included Bill Becker, Michael Burnell, Bob Fellitte and Craig Jensensky. Third place went to Team Johnson of Brian Johnson, Russ Marsan, Eric Briere and Steve Govin.

Bernadette C. Robin, Director of Philanthropy and Marketing for VNA & Hospices in the South West, said: “We are grateful to the many community-minded businesses who sponsored this event and donated great prizes to the team and the raffle. It helps us continue to serve our patients.”

The tournament was organized by a local planning committee that included Brooke Duffy, Lynn Farrell, Leslie Kelly, Mar Leon, Susan Pleasence, Susan Rice and Ray Smith.
