State Legislative Leaders Join Panel on Day 2
The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce announced that Gov. Phil Murphy will be the keynote speaker at the ReNew Jersey Business Summit: A Time for Answers on April 13 and 14, 2022 at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City. The governor’s remarks will be made on the afternoon of the first day of the statewide business summit.
The in-person summit will feature two days of general sessions discussing ways to revitalize New Jersey’s economy, devising ways to create more jobs and make New Jersey more business-friendly. The discussion will focus on, but is not limited to, four main topics. taxes and incentives. healthcare costs; infrastructure and environmental issues; and understaffed.
Focus on solutions
“The goal is to bring together experts in business, politics, education, and labor to discuss the issues that are stifling New Jersey’s economy and to propose actions needed to transition to a full-blown economic recovery. New Jersey Chamber of Commerce: “We’re not playing the blame game. We’re not pointing fingers. We’re going to create solutions.”
Solutions will be presented to state legislative leaders and will participate in a panel discussion on day two of the summit.
Biggest business event of the year
The ReNew Jersey Business Summit will host two networking receptions, an evening cocktail reception on April 13th and a morning breakfast reception on April 14th. Also on April 13th is the Business Expo for New Jersey businesses to showcase their products and services.
“We expect this to be the largest business event in the state this year, on a scale comparable to a walk to Washington,” Bracken said. “There is a strong desire among New Jersey business people to improve the state’s business climate and to build networks. This event presents a great opportunity for both.”
When the Chamber of Commerce held a business summit in Borgata in 2015, it attracted more than 520 attendees.
This year’s attendees include business executives from businesses large and small, state and local government leaders, industry associations, workers, academia, non-profit organizations, and news media representatives.
