INHERENT is a Colorado Springs-based luxury men’s apparel and lifestyle brand that advocates for men’s mental health. INHERENT at New York Fashion Week February 11-16, art hearts fashion.

The idea for INHERENT came to me Taylor Draperfounder and CEO, he used to attend therapy with his wife when their marriage was struggling.
Throughout his life, Draper would hear phrases like “man up” and “be a man” to discourage him from showing emotion. “The suit gave me the confidence to go to therapy and talk about what I was feeling and going through in a healthy way,” Draper said.
The project, which began as a side project, became his main focus after receiving a call that his best friend from childhood committed suicide. He sold other companies and went all-in on his INHERENT to build a community that instills hope, vulnerability and confidence in men.

“Wearing your heart on your sleeve” means showing your emotions very openly. INHERENT uses this phrase to encourage men to share their feelings openly. The phrase “wear for the rest of your life” symbolizes the power that clothes give to a person.
“When a man wears our clothes, we want it to be more than just an outfit, it’s a statement of self-confidence and a desire to be the best version of yourself from within.” Andrew Parquetsaid the president of the INHERENT Foundation.
INHERENT is more than just a menswear brand. Foundation by INHERENT An affiliated non-profit organization that supports efforts in men’s mental health. The foundation hosts events around Colorado Springs to give men a space to talk about mental health.
Their events include monthly forums and quarterly huddles. The forum is a cocktail-themed event where a man can pass out in his INHERENT suit while various experts speak on specific topics on mental health. A huddle is a time when men can be honest with each other in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
Next on INHERENT’s journey to inspire male confidence is the Workplace Wellness Program. This program is for companies wishing to obtain mental health first aid certification to improve mental health within their company.

Art Hearts Fashion is an influential platform known for bringing innovative designers to the forefront of fashion weeks. As a distinctive brand with high-quality products and a unique mission to thrive, INHERENT was a fitting choice for New York Fashion Week.
In true INHERENT fashion, the brand connected with Art Hearts Fashion through men helping men.Inherent’s art director had a former mentee who was involved with Art Hearts Fashion. He introduced his INHERENT to a nationally recognized platform and partnerships built from it.

The Art Hearts Foundation introduced INHERENT to the fashion industry during New York Fashion Week. From INHERENT, Draper, Perkett and photographer Burke Atkerson attended the event.
An INHERENT commercial featuring brand ambassador Mojean Aria was played on all screens two to four times a week. The video introduced the brand and its purpose while introducing clothing from the AUTHENTIC by INHERENT and STEVE McQUEEN by INHERENT collections.
“So many people were fascinated by it and approached us with great conversation,” says Perkett.
As fashion was celebrated on the runway, several audience members were seen wearing pins representing INHERENT’s ‘Wear Your Heart’ campaign designed for fashion week. Inherent and New York Fashion Week staff and many VIPs wore heart pins on red ribbons.
“It was an introduction to the brand by expressing our true selves by embodying what we wear,” Draper said.
INHERENT’s experience at New York Fashion Week only confirmed that many are ready to witness a change in how men approach mental health. “They all endorsed his Inherent vision within seconds of us describing the brand. The work we are doing is amazing and needs to grow into a global movement.” Draper said.
Going forward, INHERENT will honor its Colorado roots, denver fashion week April 3-10. Draper plans to incorporate more Foundation by Her Inherents during Fashion Week.
“Denver can expect great shows from INHERENT,” said Draper. “I’m going to design everything personally and I couldn’t be more inspired by New York.”
