Chrishell Stause is content to live her life ‘out loud’.
The ‘Selling Sunset’ star has admitted that being on the Netflix series is a double-edged sword, but she’s happy to embrace everything she’s done in the last few years.
She explained: “It’s important to remember that nothing is too serious.
“I’m already going through these ups and downs in real life. All the details of what’s going to happen on the show are already there. How to give something a little more respect when you know it’s going to happen.” Out of context, I want to be part of the story. I accept it and live my life out loud.
“I know it exposes me to a lot of criticism because I’m the first to say I don’t get it.”
Chrishell was determined to be “real” in front of the cameras.
But the reality star also knows that being her true self is open to criticism.
Reflecting on the pitfalls of reality TV, Chrishell told W magazine:
“It’s very funny how little things can take on a life of their own. Even with the camera put down for six months, there was only one moment of breakdown. It’s in the trailer and it’s played over and over.” You’re not real, you have to react [authentically] At this point, I personally don’t think the show will do well.
“At this point, the audience is smart and that’s why the show needs to keep evolving. In this position, you have to learn to sink or swim.”
