Two foreclosure auctions scheduled for late August and September will include a variety of residential, vacant and commercial properties.

They were foreclosed by the county treasurer, not by the bank or mortgage company, but for property tax delinquencies dating back three years. Each starting bid starts with unpaid taxes levied on the property.

Ingham County has more properties up for auction than Eaton, which has just 15, with about 65, but Ingham County Treasurer Alan Fox said property foreclosures were down even before the pandemic. It says it does.
