New York Fashion Week is approaching. This season brings an exciting new roster of talent and some big name names just coming to New York.
The September show is always highly anticipated, and after several virtual and hybrid seasons, New York Calendar has designers eager to showcase their best work, and New York Calendar is the world’s most fashion market.
As always, up-and-coming brands such as Bobblehaus and Tara Babylon bring freshness to the lineup. Alongside them are global players making their debut on the New York Fashion Week calendar: Fendi, Marni and Cos. See below for all the new players for Spring 2023.
7 for all mankind
Since 2000, 7 For All Mankind has been creating apparel for women, men and children that blends luxury with casualness, fitting effortlessly into any style. Now, more than 20 years later, it’s making its first appearance on the New York Fashion Week calendar, with a presentation scheduled for September 8th.
Atget
Adrian Norris and Edwina Forrest launched Aje in 2008 with the goal of “empowering women through beautiful and compelling design.” This Australian brand was born out of a desire to bridge coastal style with urban style. Best known for its colorful dresses, feminine silhouettes, and casually romantic pieces. Alternatively, it is known for its celebrity clients such as Madonna, Katy Perry, and Gigi Hadid. Aje has shown at Australian Fashion Week in the past and will be presenting in the US on September 9th.
Andrew Kwon
Parsons alumnus Andrew Kwon, a Korean-American designer specializing in couture bridal and eveningwear, launched his eponymous brand in 2020. 12.
Bad Vinci Ton Ton
At Bad Binch Tong Tong, founder Terrence Zhou pushes the boundaries of making magazine cover garments by specializing in quirky designs and arachnophobic silhouettes. The first presentation of the brand he will take place on September 9th.
black boy knit
Founded in 2020 by Jacques Agbobly, Black Boy Knits aims to elevate black, queer and immigrant voices through a global lens, draw parallels between past and present, and bring artisanal traditions to the forefront of fashion. I’m here. Currently CFDA/trend The Fashion Fund finalist will open a showroom during New York Fashion Week on September 12th.

Founded by Ophelia Chen and Abi Lierheimer, Bobblehaus is a New York-designed, regenerative fashion brand that uses leftover fabrics and recycled cotton to create hip, unisex clothing (and whose products are We plant 10 trees for every sale.) It will be attending New York Fashion Week for the first time in Spring 2023, launching a ready-to-wear collection inspired by “New Life, Blooming Concepts and Street Style in Shanghai and New York” on September 8th. according to the release.

COS (short for “Collection of Style”) is a minimalist fashion retailer under the H&M Group. First opened in London in 2007. Since then, it has expanded to 30 markets and 167 locations worldwide. Last season, COS was part of the London Fashion Week calendar, but will hit New York Fashion on September 13th, spring 2023.
fendi
A mainstay of Milan’s ready-to-wear circuit, Fendi is a newcomer only in the sense that the Italian brand has never presented a collection on the official New York Fashion Week schedule. The brand made a surprise announcement on Instagram with an image of Linda Evanglista. The show takes place on September 9th.
Leone
Latoia Fitzgerald’s Lionne isn’t a runway newcomer, but she’s a New York Fashion Week newcomer. Worn by Karraueche Tran, Cassie and Camila Coelho, the brand will have a runway show on September 8th.
Marni
Fendi isn’t the only brand on the New York Fashion Week calendar. Marni joins Fendi for the runway show on September 10th. Bring your community closer together.
Mia Vesper
New York-based Mia Vesper is an independent label that mixes new, vintage and artisan textiles. You probably know the name thanks to Beyoncé, who commissioned the brand for a custom gown for “Black Is King.”
Midnight Studios
Shane Gonzalez’s Midnight Studio arrives at New York Fashion Week on September 14th. This menswear label was founded in 2014 after the LA creative made a name for himself with his direction of music and art.
Mirror Palais
Before founding Mirror Palais in 2019, Marcelo Gaia worked as a stylist for nearly a decade. Though made in New York, the garment is rooted in Gaia’s Brazilian heritage, mixing ’80s-inspired prints with feminine florals. Miller’s Palais first runway show will take place on his September 13th.
Tara Babylon
A graduate of CSM and Parsons, British-born Iraqi designer Tara Babylon’s eponymous brand focuses on color, craft, textiles and performance art through a gender-fluid lens. She mostly showcases her handcrafted techniques in her September 8th presentation. This is a first for her label.
