Is this deli worth the hype?
I was scrolling through Facebook and saw a long thread about this particular deli on a New Jersey food group.
A conversation started when someone started a thread asking if anyone had tried Tarielcio’s ultimate gourmet.
People have been posting pictures of the ridiculous sandwiches and have been wanting to go to Middletown, New Jersey and try them for themselves.
As I was reading all the comments defending this deli like firstborn, I was certainly curious what the hype was about.
I was scrolling through their Instagram and Facebook accounts.
It had everything you wanted in a stereotypical Jersey Hoagie. They stuff their sandwiches to the brim with cold cuts.
Went to see their menu after stalking on social media and it did not disappoint either.
The sandwich that really caught my eye was the Dan Rooker. I’ve never seen a sandwich like this in my life: chicken cutlets, pepperoni fries, slices of American cheese, and roasted jalapenos.
I didn’t even know anyone fried pepperoni until I saw this. This deli is rated #1 among his seven Italian food spots in Middletown and is also the #1 spot in all of Middletown according to TripAdvisor reviews.
Apparently, this place really deserves the hype according to everyone who’s tried it, and they agree from the looks of it.
Talerico’s Ultimatte-Gourmet is located at 544 Highway 35 Middletown, NJ 07701 and is open daily from 8am to 8pm.
