LBJ Library Offers Free Admission to First Responders, Healthcare Workers


AUSTIN (KXAN) — The LBJ Presidential Library and Museum announced Tuesday that it will offer free admission to health care workers and first responders across Austin and the nation.

This offer starts Thursday, September 1st and is available until the end of 2022.

The library said they didn’t need advance tickets. Please bring your work ID. This offer is intended for hospital, clinic, clinic, fire, police, EMS and pharmacy staff or workers.

The library is open daily from 9am to 5pm

Free entry is for staff only, no family, friends or other guests.

Adult (19-61 years old) $13
Senior (62+) $9
Youth (13-18 years old) $4
Children (under 12 years old) free
Non-UT Austin College/College Students $4
UT Austin Students, Staff and Faculty free
Excursion groups with reservations Free for students and faculty. $7 for each additional chaperone
military (active duty) Free; free entry for up to 5 family members
Ex-Military/Veteran $7
Health Care Workers and First Responders Free from September 1st to December 31st, 2022
LBJ Librarians and other NARA Presidential Librarians free

The library will be open to the public free of charge the following day.
