Leonardtown, Maryland— September 9th The anniversary of the designation of Leonardtown as an Arts & Entertainment District. We are proud to be the only His A&E District in Southern Maryland. The town celebrates its anniversary with a series of exciting events and happenings throughout September, including concerts, art shows, sidewalk art, plein air events, and more.

Celebration kicks off with Art Walk 2022 on Friday, September 2ndnd Starting at 5pm on the first night of the A&E First Friday All Weekend Celebration. Head to local participating businesses around town to see amazing artwork by local artists and vote for your favorite. Afterwards, have dinner at his one of the town’s fine dining restaurants before heading to Leonard Town Square for live music provided by Higher Standard.Jazz Trio 5:30pm – 7:30pm

And Saturday, September 3rdrd, the beautiful Leonardtown Wharf, is a wonderful place for a day of creativity and fun. day starts at 1st The annual Sidewalk Art Contest invites established and emerging local artists to use the wharf sidewalk as the backdrop for their artwork.Register for free at [email protected] Also [email protected] Play in one of four categories (Youth, Doubler, Family or Pro) for a chance to win over $400 in prizes and gifts. Participants can work at their own pace by checking in anytime between 10am and 3:30pm. Judging will take place at 4pm and winners will be announced at 5pm during the evening concert on the pier.
This concert is the thrilling season finale of the On the Water’s Edge music series at Leonardtown Wharf. Sponsored by Jimmy Hayden of RE-MAX 100 and Homes for Heroes, this exciting series is part of the Leonardtown Summer Music Festival. The finale runs from 3pm to 7pm and is Labor Day Weekend His Bash featuring local favorites Robbie Booth his band, John Zimmerman and Billy Breslin.
