Lindsey Perlman’s cause of death has been confirmed as suicide.

Now, the Los Angeles County coroner has officially ruled her death a suicide by nitrite poisoning.
A coroner’s report obtained by PEOPLE magazine found “the presence of non-toxic levels of lorazepam, metoclopramide, and codeine” in her system.
A spokeswoman for the coroner’s office revealed in February that despite initial investigations, Perlman’s cause of death was listed as “delayed.”
“She was seen by a doctor, and a cause of death has been deferred,” LA County Connor’s office Sarah Ardalani said at the time.
“The postponement means that the cause of death has not been determined following an autopsy and the coroner has requested further investigation into the death, including additional studies.”
The actress who played Karen in the TV series “Vicious” was married to producer Vance Smith, but posted on Instagram that she was “broken” after learning of her wife’s death.
“Police have found Lindsey. She’s gone missing. I’m broken. More on that later, but we appreciate everyone’s love and effort and respect her family’s privacy at this time.” I would like you to do so.”
In a statement, Lindsey’s agent, Michael Chiaverini, said he was “deeply saddened” by the death of his client and expressed the family’s desire for privacy at this time.
He told E! News: “Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Lindsey Perlman today. Her family has sought privacy during this difficult time and is grieving.”
