Man connected to viral video of brazen Oxford store theft faces extra charges

Police say a man arrested for being involved in a brazen robbery at an Oxford store faces additional charges in connection with a similar robbery.

Nasif Muhammad was arrested last year in a local grocery store shoplifting case by Wilton officers who issued an arrest warrant in Stanford Superior Court.

According to police, an investigation found that Muhammad was part of an organized retail thief group that was active throughout Connecticut.

The retail items stolen in this study were laundry detergent, paper products, and seafood, resulting in a loss of approximately $836.76.

Muhammad’s alleged co-conspirator James Hill was previously arrested for his involvement in the same shoplifting incident in Wilton.

Muhammad is currently in prison, according to police.

In a viral video of the brazen Oxford store theft released on November 9, 2021, Muhammad, Hill, and another suspect, Brandi Quadrat, loaded two cars full of stolen goods and drove to the store. Employees and customers were seen in shock.

All three were arrested and charged.
