McLeod Health Welcomes These New Doctors

McLeod Health welcomes Colton Johnson, MD and Yvette Mbangowah, MD, to its medical staff.

Dr. Johnson joins Kimberly Hunsucker, FNP-C, McLeod Primary Care Myrtle Beach. Dr. Johnson received certification in family medicine from the School of Medicine, University of Sabah, Netherlands/Antilles in 2019. Dr. Johnson came to McLeod after completing a family medicine residency at the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program in Fort Wayne. , Indiana. Dr. Johnson currently lives on the beach with his wife Britney and his two dogs and a pet hedgehog. He enjoys cooking and sports, especially golf. Dr. Johnson is accepting new patients. Dr. Mbangowah joins Dr. Joslyn Angus, Dr. Prakash Beeraka, Dr. Dirdre Young, and nurse Allison Slice as part of the Jeter-Skinner Family Practice. She graduated in 2018 from her American University School of Medicine, Antigua (Coolidge, Antigua) with a medical degree and in 2022 from her McLeod Regional Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program. Originally from Cameroon, her Dr. Mbangowah was inspired to become a doctor by her godfather, a doctor trained in South Carolina. She and her husband, Horton Rosa, live in Florence and are parents to two daughters, Pesy and Maya Rose, and a son, Troy Mbunu.
