trenton, new jersey — Last month’s winner $533 million Mega Millions Jackpot is a New Jersey resident who moved to New Jersey last summer. Richard Wall was introduced at a press conference at Lottery Headquarters on Friday.
According to CBS New York, Wall plans to use the money to “do many good things.”
“For us, we believe God has a plan,” Wall said. “For us, the plan is to do a lot of good things with it. We work with the finance team to make things happen. It’s money for family, friends and those in need, so we’re trying to do something good with it.”
A 47-year-old production manager at a food service facility in northern New Jersey opted for a cash option worth $220.7 million after tax.
Wahl purchased the only winning ticket to the March 30th Jackpot at Lukoil Station. He says he is not a lottery regular and has only bought tickets a few times.
He said he moved from Michigan to Vernon, New Jersey last July for work reasons, but didn’t provide further details.
Wall says he plans to retire. One of his dreams is to modify a 1963 Corvette.
It was the largest single jackpot-winning ticket ever sold in New Jersey.
Mega Millions is played in 44 states plus Washington DC and the US Virgin Islands.
