Michelle Branch has been charged with domestic violence against her estranged husband Patrick Carney.
At 2:08 a.m. local time on August 11, 2022, police were called to his home in Nashville, Nashville, due to a possible domestic disturbance, Page Six confirmed.
She was arrested “without incident” after she admitted to slapping the Black Keys drummer “once or twice in the face,” according to court documents.

Kearney had no visible facial injuries, according to the complaint.
The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office told the Page Six Branch that the 39-year-old was released Thursday after posting $1,000 bail.
She was initially ordered to be detained for 12 hours, but was released early “because she was breastfeeding an infant,” the documents read.
Branch has a hearing scheduled for Nov. 7 to face domestic assault charges for aggressive/provocative conduct.
Page Six said a representative for the singer did not immediately return a request for comment.
Arrest said she wanted privacy and kindness to deal with the breakup on Wednesday, as she feels like “the rug has been completely pulled out” of her life and wants to figure out how to move on. It happened after I said
with her little ones.
She told TMZ:
“The carpet has been completely pulled from my feet and I have to think about how I can move forward. I ask for privacy and kindness with such small children.” .”
Michelle shares four-year-old son Rhys James, born earlier this year, and daughter Willie with Carney.
They first met at a Grammy Awards party in 2015, shared 17-year-old daughter Owen Isabel when Michelle was finalizing her divorce from ex-husband Teddy Landau, and two years later they were married.
While planning their wedding, the singer realized she was expecting their first child together, Rhys James, born in April 2018.
“Patrick and I are in love with our son, Rhys James Carney,” the “Everywhere” singer said at the time.
A year after Rhys’ birth, the couple married at the Marigny Opera House in New Orleans.
As they tried to expand their family, the singer revealed she had a miscarriage in December 2020.
She announced on social media:
“We drank champagne all day. We cooked wonderful meals and sang Christmas songs by the roaring fire.”
A few months later, in August 2021, the couple became pregnant again and had their second child, Willie Jaquet Carney.
