Police were dispatched to an ongoing raid on Cokesbury Road on Saturday. The incident stemmed from a close collision between a vehicle and multiple motorcycles. Police were informed that a group of motorcycles had dragged the 62-year-old male victim out of his vehicle, assaulted him, and stole his mobile phone.
A motorcycle was then seen fleeing the scene. Police attempted to stop the car on Cokesbury Road but were unable to stop the motorcycle, which fled at high speed down Route 22 West and began a pursuit.
Police observed about 13 motorcycles in total as they approached Petticoat Lane heading west on Route 22.
A partial New York registration was obtained, along with a specific make and model of motorcycle. With this information, police have opted to end the pursuit in favor of another investigative avenue that is being actively pursued. Pending charges may include robbery, aggravated assault and escape.
