Mukilteo, WA, August 26, 2022 – The Mukilteans went all out to support today’s ‘Cram the Cruiser’ food drive in front of the QFC in Mukilteo. The “Cram the Cruiser” event is the latest in a series of ongoing community outreach efforts by the Mukilteo Police Department.
Sergeant Colt Davis told the Lynnwood Times that he got the idea from an East Coast law enforcement agency that hosts donations of school supplies and food.
“So we’ve been collecting donations all day since 4:00 and are now in the third car,” said Officer David. “It was amazing!”
Posted on social media today at 2:30pm in front of the QFC at 11700 Mukilteo Speedway from 4pm, the goal was to fill one police car with food to donate to the Mukilteo Food Bank. At 6:30 PM, two cruisers were filled with food supplies, and the third vehicle soon filled.

Bradley Omlid and Laura Poulos are two of the Mukilteo police volunteers who assisted several MPD officers in today’s fundraising drive in front of the QFC. Omlid has been with the organization for her four years and Poulos for her eight years.
“We had a youth academy in July this year, and we plan to have a civics academy starting in October,” Poulos told the Lynnwood Times.
“They are [Mukilteo Police Officers] They are the kindest people I have ever met,” said Omrid.

For those who missed today’s food drive, the Mukilteo Police Department and Mukilteo Police Volunteers will be at the 2nd ‘Cram the Cruiser’ food in front of the same QFC tomorrow, Saturday, August 27, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. do the drive.
All donations go to the Mukilteo Food Bank, which serves children and families in the community to combat food insecurity.
Recommended non-perishable gifts are:
- peanut butter
- jam jelly
- rice
- breakfast cereal
- canned soup/chili
- Canned vegetables and fruits
- powdered milk
- Baby diapers and wipes
- Other Perishables
Just two weeks ago, about 100 Mukirteans joined the Mukilteo Police Department for an impromptu “pop-up barbecue” at Lighthouse Park on Wednesday night. Mukilteo’s crime prevention officer, Nathan Fabia, organized the event and shared how he and other officers would like to celebrate with his Mukilteo community.
