PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Penguins are trying to get many of their players back from injury, but it may take some time.
After practice with the entire team, Mike Sullivan confirmed that Chris Letang, Josh Archibald, Jan Rutta and Kasperi Kapanen will not be traveling with the Penguins to New Jersey.
Letang, Archibald, and Rutta all skated before practice, while Letang and Archibald continued practicing with the team.
The two usually wore their normal colored jerseys that indicated they were in full contact, but Retan said afterwards that the color of the sweater meant nothing.
Sweater colors only indicated power play or penalty kill players.
Letang and Ty Smith alternated in the second power play unit, while Archibald, Ryan Poehling, and Jonathan Gruden replaced on penalty kills.
The Penguins have a one-game trip to play against the New Jersey Devils, and there was no immediate indication of whether he’d play, but it looks like Poling will travel with the team.
Pauling is now on the Penguins injured list and is a regular rep on the team.
