Natalie Emmanuel has always been “enthusiastic” to be in horror movies.
The 33-year-old actress has a lead role in ‘The Invitation,’ a new gothic horror film, and Natalie admits it’s something she’s been craving for years.

The film was shot in Budapest, which Natalie admits was a daunting experience.

“The Invitation” focuses on issues of power structures and oppression, and Natalie also enjoys working with director Jessica M. Thompson.
The actress felt she could relate to the film and its themes as well.
Natalie, who previously starred in Game of Thrones, said, “I was captivated by how the script looked at race, power and class, and how they all intersected. .
“These people, at the top of that power structure, are very wealthy, white, and mostly male. A biracial working-class woman, Evie quickly finds herself in an uncomfortable situation. It will be taken.
“I’m a woman of color and not from a wealthy background, so I immediately resonated with it and learned how to navigate spaces that weren’t necessarily made or designed for me.” I used it and it did its job.”
