A new Event Center has arrived on the battlefield.
Next Gen Combat Arena, 1001 E. Veterans Memorial Blvd., Suite 201, in Killeen is a new events and entertainment center offering indoor sports, fun games, and events for all ages.
This family-owned business offers multi-day passes, monthly memberships, and party packages ranging from $250 to $550. The facility features bubble ball soccer, laser tag, go-karts, Nerf Wars, combat archery, a virtual reality station, and more.
The Benavidez family moved to the area from Brownsville in 2010 after Jesus enlisted and was stationed at Fort Hood.
“When we moved here, our kids had nothing to do here. You’d have to drive to Waico or Austin to enjoy it,” says owner Laura Benavidez. Told.
Her husband, Jesus Benavides, agreed with her statement.
“That’s what helped us come up with the idea to bring something like this closer to the Killeen area,” said Jesus Benavidez.
The event center officially opens on April 12th and will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Killeen Chamber of Commerce on September 1st.
“Foot traffic has been slower than we would have liked, but it is picking up. Our customers have pushed us into a community that has really helped.
We currently have eight employees and are accepting applications.
“Before you hire people, you have to train them. Training takes weeks, so train someone, then look at applications and train another,” says Jesus Benavidez. says Mr. “It’s not hard, but it’s more about the customer than knowing how to handle computers and equipment,” he said.
The center is open Monday through Thursday from 3pm to 9pm, Friday from 12pm to 10pm, Saturday from 10am to 10pm, and Sunday from 1pm to 9pm .
