The New Jersey Food Council recently announced the appointment of Connor Schmiegel as Associate Director of Public Affairs.
Schmiegel recently served as a field organizer for the re-election campaigns of Congressmen Vince Mazeo and John Almart. During the summer he worked at his Campbell Soup Co. as the head of government affairs. He also helped reform the Rowan University Democratic Party organization and later served as an intern under Congressman Donald He Norcross. Prior to that, he worked at Rowans Office of Government & Extras He Relations.
NJFC CEO and President Linda Doherty said:
Doherty said the NJFC will pursue an “aggressive political agenda” in the next Congress and hopes Schmiegel will become an advocate for food retail and distribution industry issues.
