Is your New Jersey small business looking to reach international customers? The New Jersey Business Action Center’s (NJBAC) Export Promotion Office has resources and tools to help.
NJBAC provides financial incentives for small and medium enterprises (SBEs) to offset their exports through the New Jersey Trade Expansion Program (NJ STEP), which is funded in part by a grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Provide opportunities to help receive part of promotional costs.
This includes costs associated with website internationalization and e-commerce fees, international marketing media design, participation in international trade missions and trade events, and fees for services provided by the US Commercial Service (USCS). included.
NJBAC prides itself on helping businesses succeed and recognizes the NJ STEP program as a major initiative to help small businesses expand their international reach through export.
This program has supported the export goals of many New Jersey businesses.
One example is the NJ STEP funding awarded to Nouveautes Inc, the parent company of Immunity Goodness in Fairfield, New Jersey. Nouveautes Inc manufactures 100% Belgian chocolate and specializes in the production of white and private label infused chocolate.
The business reached a large number of consumers at an NJBAC-sponsored trade fair last September and has since expanded into international sales with the help of NJ STEP grants.
“We have been privileged to work closely with the export promotion team,” said Nouveats, Inc. CEO David Little. We were able to communicate, and as a result, we were able to tap into the global market and our business grew tremendously.”
CAREOX LLC, a company based in Princeton, New Jersey, has received two New Jersey Trade Expansion Program grants. With the help of NJ STEP funding, Young Kim, President and CEO of CAREOX, participates in trade fairs to reach potential new customers, grow the company with more employees, and expand his business in Europe. We have been able to start exporting our products to 12 countries, Asia and the Middle East.
CAREOX will also open an R&D center in Princeton to develop new products. Kim believes NJBAC and his STEP grant played a key role in the export’s success.
Young Kim, founder of CareOx, said, “Thanks to the NJBAC export promotion team, we are now successfully participating in the global medical sensor and respiratory care product market, and people are We are looking for quality products.” “STEP funding has helped us launch new countries and increase our revenue opportunities.”
NJBAC’s current focus is food and beverage exports. NJBAC invites “export new” companies from across the state to learn about exports and participate in initiatives to increase exports by New Jersey food and beverage manufacturers.
Even if exporting is only a temporary idea, please contact us to see if this grant opportunity is right for you! As part of the NJ STEP program, eligible companies are: , owned by a minority, a woman, a veteran, or a service-disabled veteran.
