New Jersey reported strong sports betting handle totals for August as the state enters a lucrative fall season for NFL betting.
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement reported total sports wagering processing volume of $664.7 million in August, up 14.9% from July’s total of $578.7 million.
The state reported total gaming revenue for the month was $427.7 million.
Out of a total of $427.7 million, total sports betting revenue was $52 million.
All of the state’s casinos reported positive sports betting earnings in July, but the Golden Nugget reported a loss of $9,107.
