Police receive tip about white tractor trailer after witness reports bloody woman screaming for help

Police in South Brunswick say they have received a flurry of information from neighboring states about a white tractor trailer after eyewitnesses reported Wednesday of a bloody woman screaming for help inside the truck. Women may be at risk, according to the report.

Authorities said police responded to a call about a woman screaming for help on Highway 130 near a Dayton Toyota dealership around 2 p.m.

Witnesses told police they saw a woman inside the cab of a white tractor trailer.

“When witnesses began making headway toward the vehicle, the woman was pulled back into the vehicle and the vehicle sped off 130 degrees south,” says Detective Sergeant Timothy Hoover.

Hoover said the truck then exited the highway via the Ridge Road exit. He said the truck was “likely a 2006 to 2018 Volvo or Mac he Bobtail truck. It didn’t carry a trailer at the time.”

The woman was Caucasian or Hispanic in her twenties, with long brown hair and a brown flannel shirt.

The truck driver was described as an elderly Caucasian man who was bald, had a white beard, and wore a blue shirt.

Police say they view this as a domestic dispute situation.

Anyone who may have information is asked to call South Brunswick Police. 732-329-4646.
