Robber steals Throgs Neck Juice Bar

The owner of the new Throgs Neck juice bar said surveillance cameras caught the robbers breaking into the store early Tuesday morning, robbing him of thousands of dollars.

Oscar Manuel Navarro, owner of Guerrero’s Juice Bar, said, “The way they did the robbery was out of the ordinary…they didn’t care.” , ‘It’s my job! Oh my god! It’s my job!’ Look?”

Surveillance video shows two men at the back door of an East Tremont Avenue business at 1:00 am.

After an initial unsuccessful break-in, the pair eventually leave with the equipment. Then the looting begins. They even scraped change from the register.

“They broke in here and destroyed everything,” Navarro said, turning the pursuit of the American Dream into a nightmare.

“It’s unfortunate and painful when someone comes along and takes away everything you’ve worked so hard for,” Navarro added.

The thief appeared to come empty-handed as he ransacked the facility, but eventually came across a $2,000 paycheck. They received money that was supposed to go to the hard working employees of the business.

Navarro and his wife built a juice bar from scratch.

“My wife is what drives me,” he said.

It’s been a month since the juice bar opened.

The couple have another one in Yonkers, along with a restaurant, but wanted to expand.

“She said, ‘Listen, we have to work for the future. What if we have kids one day?'” Navarro explained.

The 28-year-old son of a Mexican immigrant is fighting to provide for his future family.

“My name is Guerrero’s. Guerrero means ‘fighter’ in Spanish. We will stand up and keep fighting,” Navarro said.
