Sunny and warm weekend in New York City, but showers early next week


now: Sunny and warm Saturday with few clouds. Temperatures are expected to stay in the 80s for most of the day.

Next: Expect more rain late Sunday night, with more rain likely on Monday and Tuesday.

Alan Nosoff, a meteorologist on the Storm Watch team, said temperatures in New York City will reach 80 degrees and the sun will be blazing on the weekend in late summer.



A high surf advisory and rip current statement is in effect for south-facing beaches in Brooklyn and Queens through 8 p.m. Saturday.

Wednesday – Friday: Seasonally warm with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the late 80’s. Lows around 65.
