Surge Energy US Holdings Signed a lease of 64,018 square feet to relocate its corporate headquarters to Westway Plaza at 11330 Clay Road, two miles northwest of the Energy Corridor. The independent oil and gas company will move from the Heron Lakes office park in northwest Houston, where he will gain 25,000 square feet in February 2023. Founded in 2015, Surge Energy is an independent oil and gas company focused on the Midland Basin in West Texas. Led by CEO Linhua Guan, the company has drilled over 500 wells and produced over 100 million gross barrels of oil equivalent. With nearly 200 employees, he has over 100 in Houston.
“As Surge Energy has grown, management has sought ways to provide employees with a better and more collaborative workplace,” Saxe said in a statement.
Westway Plaza is a mix of Fortune 500 businesses, fitness centers and delis, close to nearby hotels, shopping centers, parks and neighborhoods. The building is owned by TAF Westway Plaza, LLC.
Seripont Bio Service, a San Diego-area-based cell therapy development and manufacturing organization has leased a 76,000-square-foot facility at 9501 Lakeside in the Woodlands for its expansion to Houston. Brian, Dave Baker of JLL Capital Markets Buglione, Kevin McConn, represented the tenant and procured the building’s purchaser, Vitrian. Vitrian is a real estate company specializing in biomanufacturing and life science facilities. This property is located in the 77-acre Research Forest Lakeside development along Lake Woodlands. Scheduled to open in the first half of 2021, 9501 Lakeside will feature state-of-the-art manufacturing, process development, assay development and testing capabilities.

St. Nicholas School, a private school serving students in the Texas Medical Center area, purchased a 48,000-square-foot former church on 5.5 acres at 3511 Linkwood Drive from the Texas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
