Parents at Beekman’s Chelsea Cove North Development said their children’s first day back at school was chaotic after the Arlington Central School District’s decision to consolidate six bus stops into one bus stop.
“It was very chaotic this morning. There were at least 30 cars lined up to drop off the kids. At the same time, other people were trying to get through to work or go somewhere else.” .

“Speeding is an issue. We don’t have sidewalks and cars are parked everywhere. This is a townhouse community and there are no driveways,” she said.
Weyant said her 10-year-old daughter was nearly run over by a driver leaving a development site Tuesday morning.
“A lot of parents jumped out of the car and tried to stop or slow it down,” she said. “It was a mess.”
