Unemployment is recovering strongly and there is a hiring boom in several sectors.
Investopedia’s Caleb Silver says good places to look for work are in the entertainment, accommodation and recreation sectors.
Ethan Isaac of Norwalk’s Factory Underground recording studio runs a production company and an audio and film school, catering to young people and professionals looking to grow and learn in the industry for career advancement. .
“We work with established people who are looking to gain more knowledge and up their skill sets. We work with people,” says Isaac.
Isaac said the industry is often thought to be slowing down, but it’s actually booming thanks to podcasts, sports radio, and streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music.
“There’s a shortage in Connecticut, and there’s a shortage in this area, so this is a good field for students to enter,” Isaac says.
