“We expect quite a few people to come,” added Brown.
On the entertainment stage at 2pm on Sunday, Gary Johnson and his daughter Mary Jo are planning a “short, energetic violin/strings performance” in memory of former festival coordinator Sue Redd, who passed away last year.
“Sue has been dedicated to the success of the festival over the years and has always requested fiddle music,” event entertainment coordinator Johnson said in an email.
New performers in the line-up, which includes more than 15 entertainers, are Felita Larocque and her band, the duo of Bob DePiro and Gary Fenton, Johnson said.
LaRocque is an “adept” singer with diverse musical tastes, he added, having been the lead vocalist for the U.S. Air Force Band of Flight at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
Depiro and Fenton are “talented and experienced musicians with deep roots in Fairborn,” Johnson said.
Youth entertainment on both days includes pony rides, train rides and face painting, organizers said.
Another shuttle will be added to and from the parking lot, Brown said.
