Two of CU’s early opponents get votes in USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll

The preseason USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll was announced Monday and it wasn’t surprising that Colorado was left out, although two of Buff’s non-conference opponents were just outside the top 25. .

Expectations for TCU in the Big 12 were moderate, and the Buff’s more difficult non-conference games were against Air Force and Minnesota, both of whom received votes in the ballot. He got 12 votes for the Falcons, the same number he had at the end of last season. Minnesota got him 6 votes, slightly less than his 23 votes in the 2021-22 season.

In Pac-12, Utah, Oregon, and USC all made the top 25, as we’ve seen previously. UCLA (10th) and Oregon (2nd) also received votes. Buff will face all five of those conference foes this season.

A number of difficult games are in store for CU’s deck, and on the bright side, a few early-season victories could bring the buff to national attention.
