City councilors are urging New York City to develop a long-term plan to improve its aging infrastructure.
At a joint hearing last Tuesday, three city council committees attended to address current infrastructure concerns.
Rohit Aggarwala, the city’s chief climate officer and commissioner of the city’s Department of Environmental Protection, said: “So right now, that’s what we’re 100 percent focused on right now.”
City Councilman Ari Kagan said he and his colleagues will continue to pressurize city agencies to make sure the five districts are prepared for future obstacles that nature may throw at them. said.

The Resilience and Waterfront Commission is holding hearings with the Parks Service on Sept. 15 to improve Coney Island Beach and its boardwalk.
