The Strokes played an intimate gig last night (September 8) at The Glasshouse in Chelsea as part of the New York Fashion Week kickoff event by designers Heron Preston and Bose. Take a look, see the setlist below.
Following Preston’s DJ set, the Manhattan band performed in a short jam session as frontman Julian Casablancas told the crowd, “This is our sound check,” before starting “Modern Age.” have started.
“I didn’t know about Fashion Week,” Casablancas joked on set. added.
They performed “Under Control” and “Hard To Explain,” but they didn’t hit typical setlist favorites like “Last Nite” and “Someday.” pic.twitter.com/coECqump81

According to the onstage setlist, which also included multiple question marks in place of songs, The Strokes were scheduled to play encores of the songs “Is This It,” “Someday,” and “Reptilia.” , didn’t come back.. on stage after performing “Meet Me in the Bathroom,” which was requested by a fan in the audience.
This isn’t the band’s first Fashion Week performance. In 2010, the band performed at the Metropolitan Opera in honor of Tommy Hilfiger’s 25th anniversary. The performance was the first time the band played in New York following a four-year hiatus.

Earlier this month, both Fleet Fox and Blood Orange covered “Under Control” while on tour in New York City. Robin Pecknold and others played at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens and added tracks to the encore. Dev Hynes played his The Strokes track in 2003 at an intimate gig at Baby’s All Right. This was also Blood Orange’s first gig in Brooklyn in three years.
