Disney continues to strive to create more colorful and diverse worlds on screen. Tatiana Maslany stars in the new series of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She-Hulk: Lawyer, She wore a “Support Trans Futures” T-shirt in Disney+ promotional materials for the show.
“I am very supportive of those fighting for LGBTQ rights. That community means a lot to me, and if there is a way I can continue to express my alliance, I will do it.” she said in an interview.
Although there are no LGBTQ or transgender characters in the show, Maslany noted that his character struggled to adapt to his new body (a 6-foot-7-inch super-strong green Hulk). It’s an analogy to gendered people being uncomfortable with their bodies. Or being an outsider.
Maslany’s character is a lawyer who specializes in superhuman cases. Surrounding her are Mark Ruffalo as Smart Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/The Abomination, and Benedict Wong as Wong.
She-Hulk: Lawyer premiered at Disney+ August 18th.

Writer/director Ken Hughes had a pretty hard time getting someone to play the lead role. Actor Peter Finch eventually accepted the role, though not without concerns.Finch reportedly said at the time, “I’m stiff and scared.” as Wild’s young lover, Sir Alfred Douglas, commonly called Bosey, was played by John Fraser.
part love story and part courtroom drama, Oscar Wilde’s Ordeal is a fascinating and controversial look at one of the most infamous legal battles of the late 19th century.
