When does New York Fashion Week SS23 start?


The Council of Fashion Designers of America has officially released a preliminary New York Fashion Week calendar for September 2022.

New York Fashion Week will kick-start on September 9, 2022 at 4pm with the Proenza Schouler fashion show. Ends with the Tom Ford show on September 14, 2022 at 8pm. New York Fashion Week is scheduled in partnership with IMG’s NYFW: The Shows Project.

New York Fashion Week, September 9-14, continues to be centered around New York’s Spring Studios. Outside of Spring Studios, shows take place throughout New York City. Press Released by CFDA In his release, CFDA Chief Executive Officer Stephen Kolb said:

“One of the strengths of NYFW is the city itself and the way it continues to inspire our talent. Based in Spring Studios, we will continue to see our designers show in unique venues and neighborhoods across New York. I will watch over you.”

The tentative schedule released by the CFDA lists more than 109 designers and labels, including Barragan, Altuzarra, Brandon Maxwell, Christian Ciarino, Coach, Dion Lee, Interiors, Gabriella Hirst, Laquan Smith and Michael Kors. Confirmed.

Brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Puma and Area all returned to New York Fashion Week briefly. Stephen Kolb describes the September show and his CFDA role in it in his aforementioned press release. he says:

“September demonstrates CFDA’s continued momentum and the significant reach NYFW provides to brands. Including Vogue Fashion Fund finalists, it reflects the most diversity in NYFW history.”

Hilfiger will unveil the collection on September 11, 2022 at 7pm at the Metaverse alongside the Skyline Drive-In in Brooklyn. The Puma collection will be presented on September 13th, 2022 at 9pm at a runway show in Furtrograd that includes music, sports and fashion.

Ashlyn, Foo and Food, AnOnly Child, Midnight Studios, LoveShackFancy and Tia Adeola are newcomers to NYFW.

Many international brands such as Marni, Fendi and Cos. will also be on display during the week of September 9th, 10th and 13th respectively.

Commenting on the special anniversary of CFDA and the lineup, Kolb said:

“This year marks the 60th anniversary of the CFDA, and as the organizers of the official schedule for NYFW, we are extremely proud to release a line-up that reflects our founding philosophy of promoting American fashion on a global scale.”

he added:

“We celebrate excellence, diversity and resilience across the industry and look forward to a strong American collection season with our esteemed international guests.”

All fashion shows follow the guidelines of the New York State Department of Health. In addition to in-person exhibits, the show will be broadcast on Runway 360, his CFDA business tool and digital hub.
